Submission Process For The UK Selfies Book Awards
The 2024 Selfies Book Awards are now closed for submissions.
Submissions for the Selfies Awards are accepted from UK authors who have self-published (ie they have acted as both author and publisher) an adult fiction book, a children’s book or a general non-fiction book between January and December in the previous year in English and available for purchase in the UK.
The shortlists will be announced on 15th February, while the winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the London Book Fair on 12th March 2024, to which all shortlisted authors will be invited.
All shortlisted authors will receive free entry to the 2024 London Book Fair and membership of Author HQ club at the Fair, while the winning authors in each category will receive £750 cash, an author profile and banner advertising in BookBrunch plus other benefits, including a local author pr campaign.
The judging panels for the 2024 awards are:
Adult fiction category: Sophie Hicks of the Sophie Hicks Agency, author and publisher Toby Faber, Chris White of Nielsen BookScan.
General non-fiction category: New Writing North trustee Clare Harington, Helen Lewis of LitPR, Ben Hughes of IngramSpark.
Children’s book category: Clare Somerville of Kingston University, Gareth Rapley of the London Book Fair and children’s book blogger Hannah Millington.
