Submission Process For The UK Selfies Book Awards
The 2024 Selfies Book Awards are now open for submissions.
Submissions for the 2024 Selfies Awards are accepted from UK authors who have self-published (ie they have acted as both author and publisher) an adult fiction book, a children’s book or a general non-fiction book between January and December 2023 in English and available for purchase in the UK.
The cut-off date for submissions is midnight on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024.
To register, please go to www.bookbrunch.co.uk, and click on the subscribe button. Select the 6 month subscription box, and when you are prompted to, use the code SELFIESBOOKAWARDS2024. The cost of entry is £35, which gives you a six month subscription to BookBrunch (normal price £65). Please remember to sign up here to ensure that you get the BookBrunch daily newsletter, which carries information about the Selfies Book Awards and the book industry generally, sent to your pc or mobile.
Once you have registered, a link will be sent to you to access the online submission form for completion. Please check your spam if you do not receive this immediately.
Please note that the submission form will ask for: your name, contact details, biographical note, book title, date of publication, short blurb, details of the sales & marketing campaign, a synopsis and a digital copy of the book being submitted, plus estimates of sales, marketing budget and revenue generated. Please include the book’s cover separately if the digital copy (which can be a pdf) does not have one.
A preliminary judging panel will review all submissions and draw up a shortlist for the expert judging panels. Shortlists will be announced in February via BookBrunch and supporting partners. Winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the London Book Fair on 12th March 2024, to which all shortlisted authors will be invited.
All shortlisted authors will receive free entry to the 2024 London Book Fair and membership of Author HQ club at the Fair, while the winning authors in each category will receive £750 cash, an author profile and banner advertising in BookBrunch plus other benefits, including a local author pr campaign.
